PlayStation has announced that a standalone version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is coming to PlayStation 5 later this month.
Previously, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered was only available through the purchase of the Definitive Edition Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Later this month, anyone will be able to play Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. Players will be able to purchase it standalone or, if you own Marvel’s Spider-Man on PlayStation 4 (or the Digital Deluxe or Game of the Year Edition), you can pay $10 to upgrade to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PS5.
This remake is perhaps most famous for introducing a redesigned face of Peter Parker, but it also includes The City That Never Sleeps expansion starring the Black Cat as well as some exclusive Spidey suits, like the one in Spider-Man: No way home.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales owners can still get Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered by upgrading to the Ultimate Edition through the PS5 version of the game’s main menu. If you’re looking to purchase the remastered game standalone, it will cost you $49.99.
PlayStation says this standalone version and upgrade path will be coming later this month, but it doesn’t say exactly when.
