Carrie Fisher’s brother upset with Walk of Fame guest list

My brother Carrie tells TMZ… “It is heartbreaking and shocking to me that I was purposely left out of attending such an important legacy event for my sister, Carrie.”

Todd, son of the late singer Eddie Fisher The late actress Debbie ReynoldsThe snub is ironic, he says, because he claims to be the one who got the ball rolling for getting Carrie a star on the Walk of Fame…and he says he’s worked tirelessly to honor and preserve the family’s Hollywood legacy.

Todd says he and Carrie have been inseparable for over 60 years — so, he finds the guest list “extremely painful and upsetting because I’ve always been such a big part of everything my sister and mom have done over the course of their lives.”

Todd notes that he and Carrie went to their mother’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony that day, as well as her handprint dedication at the famous Chinese Theatre. Fittingly, Carrie will get her star Thursday, May 4 (be with you)… aka “Star Wars Day.”

When Todd discovered he hadn’t cut the guest list, he says he had his team reach out to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which oversees the Walk of Fame panels, for clarity…and says he was told the guest list was under Disney’s control.

Todd says Disney told him the last word came to the Carrie family… He said he was told they had filled the 30 seats they had and weren’t adding any more pressure on his niece, Billy Heavyto his contempt.

Carrie’s brother says the event is about her — not him or his family — but adds, “Honestly, it’s a painful situation and I don’t deserve to be in this position. As the only sibling of Carrie Fisher, being left out of this special day really hurts.”
