Only a few days left until the Kentucky Derby! This year, Champions Day falls on Wednesday, May 3, and the day during Derby week is meant to celebrate the history of Thoroughbred racing. This year, it will commemorate the 50th anniversary of winning the famous Horse Trust’s Triple Crown. Get it here, the horse, also known as Big Red, still holds the fastest time in all three races: the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, and Preakness Stakes. After his death in 1989, an autopsy revealed that Amana’s heart was three times the size of a normal horse’s heart.
