For the upcoming season, the show will air on ABC while also airing on Disney+. In addition, the show will be available the day after its linear debut on Hulu.

The move to return the show to broadcast wasn’t entirely surprising, especially given the news that the Writers Guild of America (WGA) has officially called a strike against major Hollywood studios for the first time in 15 years. With the strike, scripted television productions will likely suffer, which means unscripted fare like “Dancing with the Stars” will become more important to networks and broadcasters.

Len Goodman was previously a judge on the show from 2005 through 2022. Goodman passed away at the age of 78 on April 22.
