Gordon Ramsay’s new restaurant in suburban Chicago will officially open next week.
The newest location, located in downtown Naperville, is set to open its doors starting Tuesday, marking the opening of its second Ramsay’s Kitchen restaurant in the Chicago area.
Introducing an “all-day menu,” the restaurant will offer “a glimpse into Ramsay’s personal cuisine,” according to a recent statement, with an all-day menu celebrating celebrity chef’s “most inspiring, talked-about, and favorite dishes from his culinary career and respected travels.” Menu items include things like a roast beef sandwich, crispy salmon, Ramsay’s signature beef, and more.
“Bringing Ramsay’s kitchen to Naperville allows us to share some of my favorite dishes from my career and highlight cuisine from my travels around the world with locals and visitors to the area,” Ramsay said in a statement. We are happy to immerse ourselves in the warmth of the Midwest. Great food brings people together, and we can’t wait to welcome guests to the restaurant and become part of this great community.”
The restaurant aims to offer an “elegant, friendly atmosphere,” with seating for more than 160 guests at a time within the 5,656-square-foot space, which includes a bar, lounge, seasonal patio, and more.
The open plan kitchen, located “in the heart of the room,” will give diners a front row view of all the procedures and ingredients.
The design is intended to be a marriage of Naperville’s history and Ramsay’s British heritage.
Before becoming restaurant space, Oswald’s Pharmacy occupied the site from 1930 to 1980.
According to Ramsay’s team, “The bar’s millwork will nod to the drug store formerly housed in the space, introducing modern details while retaining the local artistry and locale, including the original limestone wall made from the abandoned quarry, now Centennial Beach.” .
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is opening another restaurant in Illinois, this time heading to the western Chicago suburb of Naperville.
Ramsay previously opened Gordon Ramsay Burger in Chicago in December 2021 and also plans to launch another concept in Chicago called Hell’s Kitchen. The restaurant, based on the Fox TV series of the same name, is located at 508 N. State St.
