Guardians don’t have a lot of homework to do, but there are still some things to remember before you see them
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 It is unlike most other recent Marvel films, in that it is not closely connected to the rest of the cinematic universe. While the Guardians have certainly linked up with other heroes in the past, most of their story this time around takes place far away in their own corner of space, and focuses heavily on them.
However, there is always something to catch up on in the MCU, and always some fact or moment to remember. So, we’ve put together a list of the top things to remember and movies to watch on Disney Plus before you head out Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Movies to Watch (Quick Version)
Unlike the previous MCU movies, all you really need to know about this one are the things that are immediately important to the Guardians, so you can basically watch their previous two films and get hung up. The only exception to this is holiday specialwhich you don’t need to watch, but you do need to remember that Drax and Mantis kidnap Kevin Bacon in it.

Movies to watch to get every bit of the story you need
Unlike movies like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessThere isn’t much connective tissue between this movie and the rest of the MCU, not even for the fidgets. Of course you will need to watch the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies and the Christmas Special, Avengers: Infinity War And game overAnd Thor: Love and Thunderbut that’s still all you need to worry about for this movie.
