While walking the Met Gala carpet on May 1 in a bold pearl ensemble, I spoke to Kim Kardashian diverseMark Malkin for her upcoming role in American Horror Story: Delicate.
“We started filming my stuff at the end of this month. Production has already started and I’m really excited,” Kardashian said.
Although she couldn’t generate much talk about the role, she said, “It’s really fun to get out of your comfort zone and try something new and grow. I’m really excited about the experience.” When asked if she was taking acting lessons to prepare, she said, “Of course I am. It’s a challenge. I like to challenge myself.”
“Delicate” is the twelfth season of the anthology show, which also stars Emma Roberts, Matt Czuchry, Cara Delevingne, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, MJ Rodriguez, and Odessa Asiyun. It’s based on the upcoming novel “Delicate Condition” by Daniel Valentine, and it’s said to be a scary story in the vein of “Rosemary’s Baby.”
Aside from her extensive work in reality TV, Kardashian has also worked for scripted fare like 2008’s “Disaster Movie,” 2021’s “Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor,” and 2021’s “PAW Patrol: The Movie.”
Meanwhile, Kardashian’s ornate Met Gala look was created by Schiaparelli. According to a press release, “She wore a pleated skirt and shirt made of over 50,000 freshwater pearls and over 16,000 crystals, a molded corset of coarse satin, with a white botched bone sole. Her necklace, pearl drop earrings, and hinged ring were made of crystal and unique Baroque pearls.” Mrs. Kardashian’s look took dozens of artisans and more than 1,000 hours to create, with each strand of pearl strung and draped across her body.”
