Oh Mylanta! Things are all good between Candace Cameron Bure and JoJo Siwa, after the actress-singer called out the “Full House” star in a recent TikTok video.
Siwa posted a TikTok video Sunday in which she shared a roundup of brief celebrity confessions, including the “rudest celebrity” she’d ever met. Siwa flashed a photo of Bure on her phone screen for the “rudest celebrity” category in the six-second video.
Bure took to Instagram on Tuesday to address Siwa’s video and share the drama had been resolved. She revealed the 19-year-old’s confession was inspired by a red-carpet interaction between her and Siwa several years ago.
Why did JoJo Siwa call Candace Cameron Bure rude?
Bure said she was completely blindsided by Siwa’s TikTok video, which has amassed 19 million views to date.
“I was shocked when I saw the TikTok on Sunday and had no idea where it came from,” said Bure, adding that she immediately reached out to Siwa through a mutual friend, her publicist and direct message. “I didn’t know what happened.”
Bure said she was able to call Siwa Tuesday morning and the two had a “great conversation,” where Siwa revealed that she felt snubbed by the Emmy-nominated actress when she attended the red carpet premiere of Bure’s Netflix series “Fuller House.”
” ‘I met you at the Fuller House premiere and I was 11 years old, and we were all on the red carpet and I had come to up you and said, ‘Can I have a picture with you?’ and you said to me, ‘Not right now,’ and then proceeded to do what you were doing and take pictures with other people on the red carpet,’ ” Bure recalled of Siwa’s explanation.
According to Bure, Siwa told her she didn’t think much of the video’s impact when she posted it.
“I didn’t think this was gonna go viral and they were gonna pick that up,” Bure said. “It was such a silly TikTok trend, and I didn’t think it was a big deal.”

Candace Cameron Bure addresses JoJo Siwa’s video
While Siwa told Bure the encounter is “seriously not a big deal” because she understands the scenario as an adult, Bure said she still felt bad about what took place.
“I broke your 11-year-old heart; I didn’t take a picture with you. Ugh, I feel crummy,’ ” Bure said she told Siwa. “JoJo, I’m so sorry.”
Bure added that the two went on to share their “joy for one another in that we are both positive, encouraging people.”
“I told JoJo how much I’ve always appreciated her because she has been a good role model because of her positivity throughout her whole life and career, and she said she still loves watching ‘Full House’ and watches it to fall asleep,” Bure said.
“So we had all the feels and it was all good, and there’s no drama.”
Bure also said the digital drama is a reminder of the importance of being “mindful” of what people say on social media.
“No matter how many followers you have, even a 10-second trending TikTok video can do damage because our words matter and our actions matter,” Bure said. “And whether you have 50 million followers or 500 followers or five followers, we all influence the people around us.”
“And that’s your ‘Full House’ lesson of the day,” Bure signed off.
