Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband, second man Doug Emhoff, have a bit of a tussle when it comes to the NBA’s Golden State Warriors-Los Angeles Lakers’ second-round playoff series.
Harris, a native of Oakland, is a Warriors fan, while Imhoff, who moved to California in his teens and went to college at California State Northridge and USC Law School, has Lakers roots. Before the two teams went out on their series Tuesday night, Harris made a friendly bet with her husband.
This isn’t the first time Harris has placed a bet related to the Warriors. In 2017, she won a beer case from Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown after Harris’ team defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. The Browns also had to wear a Warriors jersey as a result of the bet.
