Paul Walker’s brother Cody has named his newborn son after his late brother – as the 10th anniversary of the actor’s tragic death approaches.
The 34-year-old actor confirmed the news to People. On Friday, when it was revealed that Paul Barrett Walker, also known as “Bear” by his family, was born on April 30 in Arizona.
The TV personality, whose niece appears in the latest Fast & Furious series entry, and his wife, Felicia, didn’t even know the sex of their baby until it was born.
Cody and his wife, who tied the knot in 2015, considered two different names until they settled on Paul Barrett one day after welcoming him into their family.
The happy couple also share a five-year-old daughter, Remy, as well as a two-year-old son, Colt.

“This November will mark ten years since we lost my brother Paul, and I just felt like the time was right now,” he said.

Cody went on to say that Paul will be his last child and opened up about the importance of his newborn son’s name.
My brother Caleb and I are done having kids. My brother, Paul, was Paul William Walker IV, and the name goes back four generations.
The TV personality also discussed how his loved ones often used terms of affection to refer to his late brother.
Within the family, he passed by “Little Paul” or “Paul IV”, although he soon surpassed Apina in height. It was important to me that this name persists.
Cody later talks about his own motorsports festival, Fuelfest, in which he’s teaming up with Fast & Furious mainstay Tyrese Gibson.

A portion of the proceeds from each segment of the festival is donated to Reach Out WorldWide, a non-profit organization the late actor founded in 2010.
The TV personality described the charity as “a part of Paul that he left behind… It’s important to many to see this part of his legacy live on”.

The model shared a post on her Instagram account to make the news about her appearance public and wrote that she felt “so lucky to be able to honor my father’s legacy and share it with him forever” in the caption of her post.
