Police said a man with a knife attempted a carjacking in a Lincoln Taco Bell

Lincoln, nb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Thursday after he attempted to carjack a woman’s car in a drive-in at Lincoln’s Restaurant, police said.

At about 8:40 p.m., a woman was in a Taco Bell car, located near 48th and O Streets, when a man armed with a knife approached her car.

The man — who was later identified as 30-year-old Kyle Christen — demanded the woman get out of the car.

Police say she grabbed her keys, got out and ran into Taco Bell.

Once he realized there were no keys, he left Christine and went to a nearby Yogurtini, where he was approached by two teenagers in a car.

Police said the teens were forced when Christine opened the car door and told them to get out.

Then he drove off, but the officers were able to track the car using an Apple AirTag.

Officers found the car at a home near 33rd Street and Holdrege Street and took Christine into custody.

He was arrested on suspicion of theft, attempted burglary and two counts of using a weapon to commit a felony.
