RiRi made quite an impression when she left the Carlyle Hotel at the end of the official live broadcast, as noted by Vogue, as she stepped out in an archival fur coat from Fendi’s fall 1997 collection, designed by man of honor Karl Lagerfeld and once worn on the runway by Naomi Campbell.
After an outfit change, the couple was ready for the red carpet — or for this occasion, the white carpet — of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
In honor of Lagerfeld’s love of Scotland, Rocky wore a tartan kilt over his jeans, and the duo wore sunglasses.
The “Umbrella” singer is expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky, and she’s definitely a Met Gala veteran. Over the years, she’s rocked some of the most memorable looks at the annual event, from her 2015 canary yellow Guo Pei gown to her 2018 John Galliano-inspired outfit.
