SNL Shuts Down Due to Writers’ Strike – The Hollywood Reporter

Add Saturday Night Live To the list of shows closed due to the Writers Guild of America strike.

The sketch comedy show will debut for NBC on Saturday, joining a number of other late-night shows that closed after the WGA called a strike following the May 1 expiration of its contract. Actor Pete Davidson, with Lil Uzi Vert as musical guest.

“SNL will air until further notice, beginning Saturday, May 6,” NBC said in a statement.
