Microsoft has revealed that a “deep” Starfield Direct will immediately follow the Xbox Game Show in June.
Earlier this year, the company showed off several games, including Redfall and the shadow-dropping Hi-Fi Rush, at Xbox and Bethesda Direct in January. Microsoft stated at the time that a Starfield standalone show was in the works to “make time for a deep dive” into the game, and now we know when that will happen: June 11, right after the June 11, Xbox Game Show.
In a separate blog post, Microsoft says the Xbox Game Show will feature “some new surprises and first appearances from our incredibly talented in-house studios, and our many creative partners around the world,” noting that “This is the day gamers have been waiting for to find out what’s coming on Xbox and PC and Game Pass.” For Starfield Direct, Microsoft says it invites you “inside Bethesda Game Studios to learn more and more about Starfield, with loads of new gameplay, developer interviews, and behind-the-scenes inside information.”
The Xbox Game Show will begin at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on June 11th. Virtual and in-person FanFests will return this year “with opportunities to broadcast with local fans in Los Angeles, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Melbourne and Warsaw,” according to the Microsoft blog.
Starfield hits Xbox Series X/S and PC on September 6, 2023.
