The Falcons agree to the terms of six unoccupied free agents

The team announced Monday afternoon that the Falcons had agreed to terms with six unregistered free agents.

You will surely notice that this list is relatively short. The Falcons entered the NFL Draft with several players already under contract. They then added six more during the selection process, leaving only a few roster spots open. There could certainly be some confusion as the offseason program progresses, but the Falcons have kept their non-metal count down until this point.

You will also notice that this group plays the same place. The Falcons need both short and long term receivers, which creates competition and opportunity for youngsters to make the team if they excel at all camps. This is especially true after the Falcons had yet to draft someone in that position, and only Drake London was under contract after this season in the position pool. There are also plenty of younger schoolboys on the roster after the team was drafted exclusively from Power 5 schools.

These guys will be making their debut at the rookie mini camp, where they will be joined by the draft class and some experience players.
